Meghan Markle ‘deeply distressed’ by allegations against her father

Meghan Markle said she was “deeply distressed” by reports that images of child abuse had allegedly been found among her father Thomas Markle’s possessions in the Philippines. She said she saw a 2018 letter to London’s Metropolitan Police making similar allegations and was assured they were being investigated. The Duchess of Sussex said her estrangement from her father and decision to keep him from contacting Archie and Lilibet were intended to protect her children. She called for justice and said children’s safety must remain the priority.
