Parliament Passes 2026/27 Budget as Education, Health Receive Biggest Allocations

Parliament approved the 2026/27 national budget, allocating Ksh781.4 billion to education, including Ksh4.9 billion to absorb 20,000 intern teachers into permanent positions. The health sector receives Ksh175.5 billion, with Ksh19.1 billion for the Primary Healthcare Fund and Ksh4 billion for critical illness care.
