Passenger Injured in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash Dies in Hospital

The passenger critically injured in Friday’s crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway died at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, Ogun State. TRACE confirmed the death on Saturday after a follow-up hospital visit, according to a report by Saapade unit commander Oridota P.O. The crash involved a Mazda bus carrying 18 people that overturned after a tyre burst and hit a concrete barrier; 13 passengers were initially reported injured.

More than 140,000 rally as protests against rising costs sweep France

About 146,000 people protested across France on Saturday against the rising cost of living, including 46,000 in Paris, according to the Interior Ministry. Unions put the nationwide turnout at 250,000, with 75,000 in the capital, as demonstrations continued for a fourth consecutive weekend.
