Police Confirm 10 Deaths in Attack on Taraba Community

Taraba State police confirmed that 10 people were killed by unidentified gunmen in an attack on Binnari community in Karim-Lamido Local Government Area. The attack reportedly took place early Friday in Amar Ward, and security personnel have been deployed, police spokesperson Victor Mshelizah said. Local sources said the attackers, suspected of crossing from neighbouring Plateau State, set houses ablaze and destroyed food supplies; residents fled, and some people were reportedly missing. Residents alleged that security assistance arrived too late and called for urgent action to prevent further attacks.
