PROCARE project launched: More than 1,000 children targeted across 15 regions

The Forum of NGOs and Associations Supporting Children in Difficulty and the Ministry of Women, Family and Children launched the PROCARE project in Abidjan-Plateau on November 6, 2026. The initiative aims to support more than 1,000 children who are victims of or at risk of child labor, violence, exploitation, and neglect, particularly in cocoa-producing communities. Coordinator Cédric Gnondé said the project will involve regional directorates, introduce a quality framework, and digitize some local organizations. It will also enable private-sector actors to report concerns to the public services responsible for child protection.
