Putin tells Trump peace talks are unlikely, cites Ukraine drone attacks

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that an immediate resumption of peace talks with Ukraine is unlikely, citing drone attacks on Moscow last month. During a phone call with US President Donald Trump, Putin said Moscow was ready to resume negotiations with Kyiv after the parliamentary elections, but the drone attacks made trilateral peace talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US unlikely. Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov said these attacks disrupted the negotiation process. Additionally, Trump announced that Russia agreed to deliver over 300,000 tonnes of diesel to American and global markets.
