Iran and Oman agree on new routes in the Strait of Hormuz

Iran and Oman have reached an agreement on new entry and exit routes in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iranian officials. This agreement, resulting from technical and diplomatic discussions, stipulates that the entry route to the Gulf will be entirely within Iranian territorial waters. A portion of the exit route will also pass through these waters, while the southern maritime route will be closed once the new system is operational.
