Issia: Road accident injures 7 and causes significant material damage

A collision involving a private car and a town taxi injured seven people on 19 October 2026, around 4:30 p.m., near the village of Ouandia on the Issia-Daloa road in the Haut-Sassandra region. According to information gathered at the scene, the taxi driven by Doukouré Aboubacar suddenly pulled onto the road from the shoulder, and Koffi Yao Christophe’s car struck it from behind. The car’s four occupants, the taxi driver and passenger, and pedestrian Konaté Oumar were injured; one of the victims was a two-year-old child. Both vehicles ended up in roadside ravines, and ONPC responders evacuated the injured to the emergency department.
