Russia: Kyiv says it has put 15 of Russia’s 38 major refineries out of service

Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence says 15 of Russia’s 38 major refineries were out of service at the end of September 2026, while 12 others had reduced production. Moscow and independent sources have not confirmed the figures, which Kyiv attributes to its long-range strike campaign and says have caused more than $23.2 billion in losses to Russia’s economy. 20230 World Cup: Spain should withdraw if it does not host the final, says right-wing opposition

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain’s People’s Party and the right-wing candidate for prime minister, said Spain should withdraw from hosting the 2030 World Cup if it does not get the final. Spain is co-hosting the tournament with Portugal and Morocco; Madrid is proposing Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu, while Morocco plans a stadium of about 115,000 seats in Benslimane near Casablanca. Feijóo said the final should be played in Spain and confirmed he would advocate withdrawal if Morocco gets to host it. FIFA has said no decision has been made, despite Moroccan federation president Fouzi Lekjaa’s assertion that the match would take place in Morocco.
