Morocco-Senegal: the TAS verdict expected on this date?

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is set to deliver its decision between October 18 and 22 regarding the dispute over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal. During a closed-door hearing in Lausanne, Morocco defended the strict application of articles 82 and 84 of the CAN regulations, which stipulate a 3-0 defeat and disqualification for teams leaving the field, while Senegal argued that the match resumed after an interruption, legitimizing the transfer of the title. The referees are currently deliberating on this complex case. The verdict is expected within this timeframe amid conflicting accounts and significant stakes for both countries.
