Table View and surrounding areas turn out in droves to vote

Voters in Table View, Parklands and Sunningdale queued from before dawn, including at CBC St John’s, where the line stretched along Dorchester Drive. At Regent Park, a scanner glitch was resolved by about 8 a.m.; residents had begun queuing at 5:30 a.m. Leyoland Govindasamy said he was voting for better service delivery, while Table View resident Felicia Kruger said she wanted change. Turnout started more slowly in Du Noon, where more than 7,000 voters are registered at Inkwenkwezi Secondary School.
