Taraba Government Reunites Trafficking Victim with Family, Urges Vigilance

The Taraba State government reunited Jethro Kasimu, a state indigene reportedly trafficked to Benin City in Edo State, with his family. On Wednesday, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development Mary Sinjen urged parents, community leaders and the public to watch for suspicious movements and fraudulent job offers that could expose vulnerable people to trafficking. She called on residents to report suspected cases to the ministry, NAPTIP or the nearest security agency. The government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting victims and supporting their recovery and reintegration.
