They sell Senegalese papers to a Guinean man, investigators uncover the heart of the business

The Richard-Toll police station arrested 24-year-old Guinean national Abdoulaye Bah after he presented a forged birth certificate while applying for a national identity card. He said he had obtained the document through an intermediary and named Alamadou Ba, chief of the village of Niary, who allegedly helped secure it for 80,000 CFA francs. Ba said Bah and his relatives claimed to be Senegalese and implicated Moussa Ndiaye, a municipal civil-status officer in Mbane, to whom he allegedly paid 10,000 CFA francs to process the request. The three men face allegations of criminal conspiracy, forgery and use of forged public documents.
