Thierry Henry’s influence goes beyond the pitch in Soweto derby

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou said reading his friend Thierry Henry’s book helped shape his coaching philosophy. Ouaddou showed his emotions throughout Saturday’s Soweto derby, which Pirates won against Kaizer Chiefs to remain unbeaten after nine Betway Premiership matches. The victory kept their title defence on track and secured bragging rights in South Africa’s biggest football rivalry. Henry attended as Betway’s global ambassador and shared a moment with Ouaddou before the match.
