Tinubu’s Supporters Seek Voting Rights for Nigerians Abroad and Take His Re-election Campaign to the Diaspora

Ahead of the 2027 election, the Lagos Grassroots Alliance (LGA) launched a diaspora chapter in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. At the event, Owolabi Falana reviewed Lagos electoral trends since 2003 and stressed strategic planning and sustained community engagement. Babatunde Doherty, chairman of the APC’s UK chapter, inaugurated the new diaspora executives. Attendees also backed Obafemi Hamzat’s Lagos governorship bid and voiced hope that Nigerians abroad will eventually be able to vote from their countries of residence.
