Togo: Two New Urban Planning Procedures Available Online

Togo’s ministry responsible for territorial planning and urban development has added two procedures to the Service Public platform: requests to purchase compressed and stabilized earth blocks (BTCS) and requests for geospatial maps. Individuals and professionals can submit both requests remotely. The portal listed 155 procedures and processed more than 400,000 requests in 2024, up from 100,000 in 2023. The expansion follows the online launch of building-permit procedures and 16 services from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the Forum on the Transition to a Circular Economy, organized by the Prime Minister’s UA2P unit, the Plateau municipality presented its “SMART PLATEAU” project. Plans include electric and solar-powered shuttles, electric bicycles, 10,000 trees, and apps for administrative requests and tax payments.
