Sweden election is too close to call as far right loses ground

Sweden's centre-left opposition bloc has maintained a narrow lead with about 95 percent of districts counted, projecting 176 seats for the four opposition parties in parliament. The Sweden Democrats, a far-right party, saw an unexpected drop in support, losing three percentage points compared to the 2022 elections. Magdalena Andersson's Social Democrats secured 28.1% of the vote, marking one of their worst performances in over 100 years.
