UK Deploys Fighter Jets to Support Saudi Arabia Against the Houthis

The United Kingdom will deploy Royal Air Force Typhoon jets to protect Saudi cities and critical infrastructure from Houthi attacks, with no offensive strikes planned. London will also provide an A400M to transport defence equipment and send military advisers to the Saudi general staff. UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting condemned the attacks, including those targeting Riyadh airport. A strike on October 10 killed 13 people and injured hundreds, prompting the airport’s closure and marking the heaviest death toll on Saudi soil in more than a decade.
