US man kills seven relatives, family friend

A 45-year-old man shot dead seven members of his family and a family friend at a residence in Erie, Pennsylvania, before apparently taking his own life. The victims included two young children, an eight-month pregnant woman, a five-year-old boy, a one-year-old girl, and other adults aged between 19 and 51. Police responded to gunfire reports, found victims on the scene, and discovered the suspect barricaded inside with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Erie Mayor Daria Devlin expressed the community's grief and pledged support for those affected.
