Benin wins three awards at the 2026 Africa Tourism Awards in London

Benin won three awards at the 2026 Africa Tourism Awards, held on November 1 at the Hilton London Canary Wharf in the United Kingdom. The country was named Destination Country of the Year and Cultural Destination of the Year, while its agency, Benin Tourism, won Tourism Board of the Year; Ethiopia was also among the biggest winners. The awards follow public investment of about 1.25 trillion CFA francs in tourism, culture and the arts since 2016. Benin was also nominated for its “Explore Benin, A World of Wonders” tourism video but did not win that category.
