NiMet forecasts thunderstorms, moderate rainfall across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has predicted thunderstorms and moderate rainfall across several parts of Northern and Central Nigeria on Monday, September 7, 2026. Morning thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall are expected in Adamawa, Kebbi, and Taraba states. In the Central region, including the Federal Capital Territory, light rainfall is also forecasted. NiMet cautioned that these rains could lead to temporary water accumulation and localized flooding in some communities.
