Wealthy investors invest a record Sh1 trillion in seven bonds

Wealthy investors and fund managers placed a record Sh1 trillion in bids for seven bonds over four months. Since July, auction bids have exceeded twice the Sh480 billion sought by the Central Bank of Kenya. The strong demand reflects abundant cash in the economy and a preference for passive investments over setting up businesses.
