White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia Leaves Job After Five Days

Katie Zacharia is leaving her role as White House press secretary after five days, about a week after President Donald Trump selected her. Trump said he had urged her to reconsider, saying she should not have to suffer at the hands of the press, and reportedly said he was in no rush to appoint a replacement. A Pepperdine University law school graduate, Zacharia told Fox News she had not passed the bar exam, prompting scrutiny of her credentials as an attorney. She succeeded Karoline Leavitt.
