‘I defeated 17 governors, won’t support APC’ — Davido

Nigerian singer Davido said he will not support the APC in the 2027 presidential election, despite his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, endorsing President Bola Tinubu. In an interview with News Central TV after the Osun governorship election, he said his uncle was entitled to make his own choice and that no one could force him to back a presidential candidate. Davido recalled supporting Atiku Abubakar when they were in the PDP and campaigning for the APC during its formation in 2015, and claimed he defeated 17 governors using only his phone. He has no presidential candidate for now and said that could change, but not to the APC.
