UK art show explores Muslim life, Europe’s Islamic history and Islamophobia

The exhibition 'I Was Born Here' by artist Shahed Saleem in London connects the city's Muslim communities to Europe's Muslim histories. The works include images related to the UK's anti-immigrant policies and a portrait of Altab Ali, a victim of a racially motivated attack. Saleem created this exhibition in response to the rising xenophobia and racial tensions recently observed in the UK.
