Ziguinchor: Complaint filed seeking investigation into management of Boudody fishing quay

Civil society representatives in Ziguinchor have filed a complaint seeking scrutiny of the management of Boudody fishing quay from 2021 to 2026 and of the Kassumay Tefess economic interest group, which managed the facility from 2016 to 2026. The move follows the appointment of a specialized management unit to run the quay for six months. Amadou Tom Mbodj said the investigation is underway and that fishing-sector participants and GIE officials have reportedly already been questioned. The complainants are calling for transparency, accountability, and protection of the interests of fishers and local residents.
