Gov Idris dissolves KEBSIEC governing board

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved the dissolution of the governing board of the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KEBSIEC), effective September 18, 2026, following the expiration of the board's tenure. Two other commission members whose tenures have not expired will remain in office until the commission is reconstituted. Governor Idris thanked the outgoing members for their service and assured the administration's commitment to protecting the independence and integrity of the electoral commission.
