Troops neutralise terrorist, rescue three kidnapped victims in Zamfara

Nigerian Army troops of Sector 2, Operation Fansan Yamma, neutralised a terrorist and rescued three kidnapped victims during operations in Zurmi and Shinkafi Local Government Areas of Zamfara State. The engagement occurred on June 12, 2026. Troops recovered weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, and other items. They also destroyed a bandits' camp and evacuated the victims to safety.
