Bomai withdraws from Yobe governorship race

Ibrahim Bomai, senator representing Yobe South and APC governorship aspirant in Yobe State, has withdrawn from the race. Additionally, conflicting primaries occurred in Edo State, while Senator Garba Maidoki resigned from the APC ahead of the senatorial primaries. Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu won the APC ticket for a third term in the House of Representatives.
