The Association of Interns and Former Interns of Senegal’s Hospitals (AIAIHS) called a 48-hour strike on October 22 and 23 after one of its members was shot at his home in Guédiawaye. Association president Dr. Gora Gning said the projectile may have been a live bullet and called for the circumstances to be clarified and responsibility established.
