Is Syria stable enough to engage with the world?

One and a half years after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime, interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has visited regional countries and the US to end Syria's diplomatic and economic isolation. The Trump administration plans to remove Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism and has lifted sanctions. However, security challenges remain, including twin attacks in Damascus and Israeli occupation of additional territory in southwest Syria.
