FUTA SSANU protests non-remittance of NHF contributions, demands refunds for retirees

Members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) protested in Akure over the alleged non-remittance and delayed refunds of their National Housing Fund (NHF) contributions. Branch chairman Comrade Felix Adumbi stated that many retirees have been unable to access their funds, with some waiting for refunds since 2020. He urged the Federal Government to investigate the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) for failures in remitting deductions made between 2020 and 2024.
