Morocco: The Mayor of Tangier and 5 Others in Custody for Electoral Fraud

Tangier's mayor, Mounir Limouri, a been taken into custody at Tangier airport from Spain as part of an investigation into electoral fraud during the September 23 legislative elections. Five others, including two election supervisors, have also been detained, one found with suspicious documents on election day. The Interior Ministry announced an administrative investigation alongside the judicial process, with the PAM party stating it awaits the results and is ready to face political consequences.
