Walikale: a woman decapitated in Buray over land conflict

Residents of Fungura in Kisimba groupement, Walikale, are now afraid to go to their fields after a woman over 40 was murdered in Buray on October 9 by members of the armed group Coalition of Movements for Change linked to self-proclaimed general Bitegezi, over a land dispute. The woman was beheaded around 7 p.m., and her body was buried on October 10 in Fungura. The killing has heightened fears among locals, disrupting agricultural activities and prompting calls for authorities to ensure their safety.
