DER/FJ Fundings: The Secrets of the Scorching Case Involving Aliou Dembourou Sow

Aliou Dembourou Sow, president of the Convergence of Livestock Farmers for the Emergence of Senegal (CEES), was acquitted by the Dakar flagrant offenses court in a fraud case involving public funds. He is accused of misappropriating a balance of 34,264,400 CFA francs from a 50 million loan granted in 2021 by the DER/FJ. Sow acknowledges the debt but claims the funds were redistributed to CEES livestock farmers. A list of 24 beneficiaries, drawn up by treasurer Absatou Sow, was reportedly provided to investigators.
