2026 World Cup Final: FIFA to Offer Custom Championship Rings to Winners

FIFA announced on July 16, 2026, that the winner of the 2026 World Cup final, scheduled for July 19 between Argentina (Lionel Messi) and Spain (Lamine Yamal), will receive custom championship rings in addition to the gold medal. This is a first in the competition's history, inspired by American sports traditions (NBA, NFL, MLB). Each player of the winning team will get a personalized ring, part of a limited edition of 2,026 numbered rings: 30 for the players and 1,996 for commercial sale.
