Wegovy weight-loss pill approved in UK

The pill version of the blockbuster weight-loss drug Wegovy has been approved in the UK by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). It is the first tablet of its kind cleared. Manufacturer Novo Nordisk says the once-a-day pill may be more convenient for some people than weekly injections. It will not be available on the NHS until experts from NICE assess and decide on its recommendation.
