The Kenya Medical Association (KMA) issued an urgent Ebola preparedness alert to doctors and healthcare workers amid a sharp rise in Ebola cases in the region. Kenya has no confirmed cases, but remains at risk due to high cross-border movement through entry points such as Busia, Malaba, Suam, Namanga, and JKIA. Healthcare workers are directed to isolate patients with symptoms like fever, severe headache, vomiting, or unexplained bleeding immediately, without waiting for travel history or lab results.
