The APC in Niger State has asked the Federal High Court in Minna to declare candidates from the PDP, SDP, NDC and ADC ineligible for the 2027 general elections. It says several candidates, including Mohammed Mamman Nami, Mohammed Ndarani Mohammed and Musa Mamman, left the APC after losing its May 2026 primaries and were absent from the membership registers submitted to INEC by the parties that later nominated them. Citing Section 77 of the Electoral Act 2026 and a September 24 Supreme Court ruling, the APC is challenging INEC’s publication of their names and seeking their removal from the candidates’ list.
