Mambasa civil society salutes FARDC action to counter ADF attack

Civil society organizations in Mambasa praised the FARDC for thwarting an ADF rebel attack in Makwangi village on the night of June 6-7, 2026. The assailants were repelled after exchanges of fire, but a civilian was killed by a stray bullet and a house was burned. The population, which had fled, is gradually returning to the village.
