Importers could be required to train Nigerian technicians, invest in EV charging or CNG refuelling infrastructure, and comply with safety and environmental standards. Rep. Dominic Okafor warned that Nigeria must not become a dumping ground for vehicles that are poorly suited to local needs and lack adequate technical support.
