Obituary: Death of former mayor Pape Alioune Sarr at age 71

Pape Alioune Sarr, former mayor of the commune of Dahra Djoloff from 2009 to 2014 and secretary general of the Democratic Party of Senegal (PDS) section in Dahra, died this Wednesday in Dakar after a long illness at the age of 71. His death has caused great emotion among the local population and political class. He will be buried this afternoon in Dahra, his hometown.
