Electricity Tariffs: Cameroon Declares Recruitment of Consultant for Reform Unsuccessful

The Ministry of Water and Energy declared the recruitment of a consultant to develop an electricity tariff policy unsuccessful, following a solicitation notice issued on March 23, 2026. Minister Gaston Eloundou Essomba stated that the number of prequalified candidates was insufficient to proceed with the bidding process. This study was intended to serve as a basis for a new tariff policy, as the government considers a targeted price adjustment for certain professional consumers.
