Ebola: MONUSCO reaffirms logistical support in the response in Bunia

MONUSCO head James Swan met with Ituri Governor General Johnny Luboya Nkashama on June 4, 2026 in Bunia to discuss logistical support against the Ebola epidemic. MONUSCO facilitates logistics, mobility, and access for response teams, as well as the delivery of medical supplies to Mongbwalu, the main outbreak hotspot. The governor stressed the importance of this support for the installation and projection of equipment, including tons of medicines and personnel sent to Mongbwalu.
