Sixty vulnerable households in the Cavally region received food kits and essential non-food items through the second edition of the government’s Family Food Assistance programme. Launched in Guiglo on October 14, 2026, the distribution concluded the following day in Bloléquin and Toulépleu: 20 households received assistance in Guiglo, 10 in Bloléquin and 30 in Toulépleu, with each kit valued at an estimated 50,250 CFA francs. Before receiving the kits, beneficiaries were trained in household budgeting, income-generating activities, village savings and community support associations, and business-plan development. Regional director Serge Kouakou N’Guessan said the economic projects would receive support over six months to help households become more financially self-reliant.
