Nord-Ubangi: Ebola-positive patient escapes in Wapinda

A patient who tested positive for Ebola escaped from Wapinda General Referral Hospital in Nord-Ubangi province, health authorities reported. The patient is the province’s second confirmed case, and efforts to locate him are ongoing. Nord-Ubangi, the eighth province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo affected by the disease, has reported three positive cases, including one death. The province has no Ebola treatment centre.
