Video: Lagos arrests 56-yr-old man for dumping refuse in drainage

The Lagos State Government arrested 56-year-old John Ehidreme for dumping refuse into a drainage channel in Ikorodu. Commissioner for the Environment Tokunbo Wahab announced the arrest, stating that illegal dumping obstructs drainage, causes flooding, and poses public health risks. This arrest follows another in Pedro, Shomolu, where a woman named McCarthy was apprehended for instructing her child to dump trash into a covered drainage. Wahab urged residents to use approved waste disposal methods and comply with environmental regulations.
