President Bola Tinubu disclosed that he appointed Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) because he can deliver results in projects and infrastructure. Speaking at the commissioning of the newly completed Federal Highway 105 linking the Airport Expressway to Kuje Township, Tinubu—represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima—noted that the project, abandoned since 2022, was completed through political will and compensation payments. Tinubu said the road will reduce travel time, boost economic activities, and align with his 'Renewed Hope Agenda' of inclusive development reaching grassroots communities.
