Oyo Abduction: Eight kidnappers arrested, others killed — Presidency

After 56 days in captivity, abducted Oriire pupils and teachers in Oyo State have regained their freedom. Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated on X that the victims were rescued by security agencies. Eight kidnappers were arrested and are now in DSS custody, while several others were neutralized. No ransom was paid, despite the kidnappers' demands.
