On July 9, 2026, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights launched a program of socio-educational, sports, and psychological support for minors in conflict with the law at the Bingerville and Bouaké observation centers. Funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) with 185 million FCFA, the project will run until December 2028 to promote social reintegration. Director Esther Vonan and technical advisor Blandine Djah Ababi emphasized the need for tailored support for each child, who retains their fundamental rights despite being under judicial supervision.
